We are proud to be not only a family owned and operated business, but also a female owned and operated school of massage therapy! We are members of the BBB and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to provide a thorough, hands-on education, enabling you to meet the growing needs in massage therapy. Our instructors will help you grow through each step of the curriculum. Each of us bring our own strengths to this amazing program. We are proud to be a small school where we can give personalized attention to each and every one of our students. Our massage board pass rates (94%) are well above the nations average (62%) and we tribute this to our dedicated staff.
Ronda Young
LMT, LMTI, BCTMB, BS CHHP Chief Administrative Officer, Lead InstructorRonda is the owner and lead instructor at Massaged Life. She graduated from Virginia College in Birmingham, AL after completion of Massage Therapy School in 2003. She is licensed in Alabama and certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Ronda successfully completed the Teacher Training Program Level 1 for Yoga Fit ® and FiTOUR Pilates Advanced Instructor program. She also holds a certification in wellness coaching, medical massage, oncology massage, NMT, and nutrition. She is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals & Society for Integrative Oncology. With over 16 years of experience, and hundreds of hours of continuing education, Ronda is a qualified and inspiring leader. She always achieves well over the minimum number of CE hours. She received an Associate Degree in Therapeutic Massage, Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Health and is currently working on a PhD in Natural Medicine. Ronda takes great pride in continuing education and strongly believes that you are never too old or too young to learn.
Nicki Brown
LMTNicki Brown is a graduate of Massaged Life’s first class. She completed her training in 2014. Nicki is the daughter of Ronda and is dedicated to the success of this family business. She has been invited back to work with us here at the school. Nicki is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Licensed Massage Instructor with the Alabama Board of Massage. She is a Certified Higher Education Professional. Nicki enjoys working with those who have mental disorders such as Bipolar Disorder or PTSD and has focused her continuing education on such subjects.
Miquela Rollf
LMTMiquela Rollf-Simmons is also a graduate of MLWA. She is a graduate from our second group. Miquela has experience in working in the spa industry as well as the medical spa environment. She a Licensed Massage Therapist and Instructor with the Alabama Board of Massage and also holds the status of Certified Higher Education Professional. Miquela is a successful LMT and has recently opened her own massage clinic, NovaVita Massage Therapy Clinic, in addittion to her role of teaching here at the school.
Hannah Hulsey
LMTHannah Hulsey is our most recent graduate of MLWA on staff. As the daughter of Ronda, she too is devoted to the growth and success of Massaged Life & Wellness Academy. Hannah graduated from our program in 2017 and is Licensed by the Alabama Board of Massage. She has an energetic personality that truly shines while working with students and her personal clients. She is certified in Medical Massage and has a loyal client base and an exciting career ahead of her.
